Interested in taking part?

I'm a clinician and I'd like to take part

If you are involved in caring for patients with a chronic subdural haematoma in either a specialist or non-specialist hospital we would love to hear from you.  Please visit our sign-up page so that we can begin building the data collection networks we need to make the project a success.

I'm a resident doctor

The easiest way to get involved is to fill in our participation forms:

But we are also engaging with resident doctor research networks in anaesthetics (RAFT), medicine for the older person (GeMRC), and neurosurgery (BNTRC) to recruit resident doctor site leads.  You can reach out to your local representative of these organisations to express your interest.

Benefits of taking part

Sites will be able to see their performance data via an interactive web platform and provide feedback on data collection while being part of a national network looking to improve care in cSDH.  Principal investigators will be named as collaborators in resultant publications and we will apply to the NIHR for registration on the associate PI scheme and perioperative portfolio (decision on this likely spring 2026).

I'm a patient, family member, or member of the public

If you're interested in further information - please look at our study documents page - or if your question isn't answered or you'd like to be involved in future public engagement activities please get in touch on info@ncsdh.uk (note we will need an email address to be able to contact you and will hold that data for only this purpose).
